The phenomenon of stochastic resonance is based on the use of vibration and noise, which, by stimulating the musculo-articular apparatus, has the effect of improving motor coordination. The changes in impulses are aimed at training the interaction of receptors, brain and muscles, resulting in more efficient, tailored movements.

Stochastic Resonance is an extremely effective preventive and therapeutic treatment for numerous neurological and orthopaedic conditions and injuries, particularly for movement disorders.

Stochastic resonance:

  • improves motor learning by optimising information selection in the brain and the release of neurotransmitters (e.g. dopamine) and activation of brain areas,
  • improves walking ability by activating spinal rhythm generators,
  • improves reflex control, optimising reflex regulation,
  • improves function and growth of nerve cell assemblies and protects nerve cells,
  • improves the timing of movements by activating the cerebellum.
During stochastic resonance therapy, the patient is brought out of balance quickly, in a variable and unpredictable manner. These stimuli train the neuromuscular system and lead, among other things, to the patient being better able to control his or her movements.
