Pragma allows safe and functional uprighting, during which it is possible to regulate the force of the feet on the ground (engaging postural muscles). The physiotherapist can flexibly suspend e.g. upper limbs, head and engage all receptors responsible for balance: vision, vestibular system, touch, proprioception. Gait re-education with the Pragma device allows all its phases to be maintained. The muscle bands used during physiological gait are engaged. This is done safely (without the possibility of falls), with the gait phenomenon inspired by the exerciser himself. The patient directly decides the length of the step, its speed and the distance he or she wants to cover. Being in an upright position during exercise, the patient can engage the postural, synergistic and stabilising muscles. His position is at all times specifically unstable (pendulous), but safe and forcing him to have constant conscious postural control. The flexible vertical relief allows for sensomotor exercises that have a significant impact on proprioception and locomotor movements. It makes it possible to practise jumping with simultaneous rotation down the long axis of the body.

What does the PRAGMA device enable?

  • safety during exercise thanks to flexible suspension
  • freedom of movement when exercising
  • Balance and balancing exercises
  • Deep sensory exercises (proprioception)
  • gait training using a treadmill
